If you want to be happy, truly, sincerely happy…

You’re going to have to make certain decisions. Sometimes hard decisions and sometimes easier ones.

  • Decisions of the new standard you want to set. (Yes you’ve got to set it…)
  • Decisions of which outings you’re going to attend, and which friends you’re going to see. Maybe decisions of people you’ll spend less time with, or who to spend more time with?…
  • Decisions of where you’d prefer to spend your money. (How easy is it to spend $100-$200 on smokes and alcohol for a weekend bender, but when it comes to personal development and growth you don’t have the cash to pay for it? … is that truth, or simply a story..?)
When you grow, when you shift, when you evolve… you’re going to find that some people just don’t want to grow, at least not in the same direction that you’re going in.
And that’s totally fine, because as long as you’re in alignment with you, they can be in alignment with them, and it’s not that the love within the friendship or relationship is gone, it’s simply that your model of the world, and their model of the world is different… and there’s nothing wrong with that.
But you’ve got to be prepared for change, you’ve got to be prepared to accept that in choosing yourself, sometimes others aren’t going to like it, they’re not going to understand it, they may not respect it, but that response from them is outside of your control.
    But what CAN you control?
    You can control your focus.
    You can control your language.
You can control where you direct your time and your energy.
You can decide to be respectful and come from a place of love.
At the end of the day, the people who truly love you… they’ll come around one day. They may not understand it completely or see it the way you do but they will come around.
    Be you, be true.
